Helping Hand Childcare Service...
...offers a professional service to clients who provide childcare in North Lincolnshire i.e. nurseries, pre-schools, after school clubs and crèches that meet the needs of its clients by providing temporary staff who are appropriately qualified, experienced, capable and reliable.
The service employs a range of qualified and experienced staff available to work full or part-time including those who are currently seeking employment in childcare locally, already working part-time in childcare settings or have recently completed a childcare course.
Clients are informed of the level of qualification and experience of employees available for work to ensure ratios are met i.e. fully level two or three qualified or working towards an NVQ, CPP, DPP, or similar qualification.
Candidates are thoroughly checked using the criteria set out below:

- A current clear enhanced disclosure
- Appropriate experience in a childcare setting
Potential employees complete an interview process where their skills, knowledge and capabilities are assessed through a recruitment and selection procedure.
Employees are required to attend a short induction session explaining:
- Their role
- Quality of work
- Reliability
- Availability for work at short notice
- Confidentiality
- Child protection
- Health and safety
- Working time regulations
- Systems of recording hours worked, time sheets, payment etc
- Communication with the office regarding attendance/availability
- Rates of pay

Employees sign an Agency Worker Agreement and receive an introduction leaflet covering the induction information to ensure their understanding of our expectations and requirements including the following:
- The temporary worker must co-operate with the Client's staff and accept the direction, supervision and instruction of any responsible person in the Client's organisation.
- They must observe any rules and regulations relating to the Client's work place.
